The New Hollstein Dutch & Flemish - Rembrandt presentation (16th January) in the Rijksmuseum has turned out to be a succes. Around 120 visitors from various European countries were present. Speeches by Taco Dibbets (Director of Collections of the Rijksmuseum), Frits Garritsen (Director of Sound & Vision Publishers) and Ger Luijten (Director of the Fondation Custodia, Paris, and the editor of the volumes). One of the highlights turned out to be the interview of Sir Christopher White (one of the compilers of the famous White & Boon - Rembrandt catalogue, also known as Hollstein's Dutch& Flemish volumes XVIII and XIX) by Jane Turner (Head of the Print Room of the Rijksmuseum) and Ger Luijten.
Followed by in depth presentations of the research results by Erik Hinterding 'Another Understanding: Some Results of the Research for the NHD Rembrandt' and Jaco Rutgers 'Using NHD Rembrandt: New Insights'. Last but not least Sir Christopher White was presented a limited boxed set version of the seven-volume catalogue by Frits Garritsen.
